I like to post about sewing projects and run my mouth.

Blue rural’ish dot. Horses. Cats. Mom life. Middle-aged feminist rage. Reluctantly cybersecurityish. I wish I’d gone to fashion school.
Thank you. I am with you 100%. There’s a huge lack of empathy in these replies.

I’m a millennial raised Catholic. My mom took me to a nun for “the talk”, which is to say that I was incredibly misinformed and unprepared when I needed a life saving abortion. It wasn’t willful. I suspect there are still a lot of young women raised in religious homes who genuinely don’t know.

I think moms who have lost babies are wired a little different. I think we appreciate the experience of parenthood in ways that maybe others don’t. It’s kind of like a bittersweet silver lining.

That’s amazing! Healthy babies are the ideal happy ending in these cases. I’d bet you you’d go to the ends of the earth for those kids.

💗 I’m sorry to hear you went through so much with your babies. I hope you had good people around you to support you through it.

Did your gyn sit you down and brief you on all of the things that can go wrong in pregnancy at any point in time while you were under their care?

This is rhetorical because of course they didn’t.

I am vehemently pro-choice. We are on the same team. But I also have empathy for these moms.

Some women aren’t educated about their own bodies. Especially one who grow up in conservative homes. It is not willful ignorance.

I could not be more pro-choice. Where we differ is that I have empathy for people who don’t understand that abortions are lifesaving healthcare… until they need one.

Totally. Patriarchy is bullshit. And it’s part of the reason some women aren’t educated about their own bodies.

We are on the same team. I could not be more pro-choice. Where we differ that I have empathy for people who don’t understand that abortions are lifesaving healthcare until they need one.

Yea but how do you research something you don’t know exists?

I’m telling you… some women, especially those who grow up in conservative religious circles, genuinely don’t know until it happens to them.

They don’t cover miscarriage and baby loss in sex ed. Some people legit don’t know.

SOME PEOPLE don’t care.

Some people really truly don’t know.

What’s he into?

Slime kits, little engineering kits, Robux gift card (Does he play Roblox?), Legos maybe, Squishmallows are still popular.

I just got my kid one of these:

To be fair, people don’t know these things happen because we discourage people from openly discussing miscarriage, and baby loss, and grief more generally. Especially in conservative circles.

There are people who genuinely believe that abortions are always elective procedures. They DON’T KNOW!

Excellent tip! Thank you!

To contribute to the chaos in your replies… I feel like this is a fabric content problem. Sounds like you need compression type socks, but thigh high. More of a synthetic elasticity athletic sock than a natural soft fuzzy fabric.

OMG, I love this one.
