Sad to see a forever closed Geoff’s Emporium on Dominion Road today. What a strange and alluring shop, with the most stunning tiled exterior. RIP you local legend 💛🧡🤎

This book came just at the right time for our young guitarist, who read a library copy and immediately asked “When can I read the next one?” 🥰 We had to get our own copy of course. Thanks @rachaelking70.bsky.social for the fantastic book! Shout out to @kimtairi.bsky.social for Minnie the guitar x 🎸💜

This one was epic! Marched down Queen Street in 2015 and librarians emerged from the crowd to form in a group behind the banner. Loved it! Now more than ever librarians need to use our voices to support and uplift our communities and their democratic rights, and to call out misinformation and hate.

A bit of a delayed one but was glad to head along to yesterday’s climate strike in Tāmaki Makaurau. Second time I’ve shown up to a protest with a “Librarians for” or “Librarians against” sign and it’s always heartening having librarians approach me to say kia ora and march together. 🥰
