What are we thinking on the lineup going forward? Feels like there was a better balance. With the positions Gomez was finding himself in it feels like it would work with Bradley or frimpong.

This is really how Wirtz needs to be used. Get him on the ball as much as possible. He was averaging 80 touches a game a Bayern. Need to aim for that.

Interesting to see how much service Isak gets today without Mo. I personally don’t think we will ever see the best out of the both of them if they are starting together, especially with gakpo on the left, who is also a high volume shooter. They both need to be the main shot taker of the team.

Give it gigsy till end of season
November 26, 2025 at 9:54 PM
Make no mistake, this isn’t a particularly good PSV team either. The reds are rotten.
November 26, 2025 at 9:34 PM
Gakpo is a real tough watch
November 26, 2025 at 9:25 PM
Virgil give in lad, it’s a stonewall peno
November 26, 2025 at 8:07 PM
No surprises that Arne wants to go again with the lineup (other than Isak), we’ve actually been playing quite well in Europe. It’s the league that he’s needs to come up with different plan. Up the reds.

There has been a lot of talk of lack of fight and energy. I think that generally stems from a lack of compactness of the team. Players have to cover more ground and thus are second to loose balls, get caught between when to press and when to cover etc.

Don’t think Slot will get sacked any time soon. They may feel like they have no choice if it’s looking certain that we won’t get top 5. I do think we will pick up points over this easier run, but there will probably be a few false dawns thrown in there as well.
November 22, 2025 at 7:28 PM
At least we will probably create a few chances now Arne has gone to his desperation ball tactic.
November 22, 2025 at 4:19 PM
Whoever plays number 9 in this team is never going to get a lot of chances with gakpo and Salah playing either side. We probably won’t see the best of isak until Salah leaves.

Konate has caught the bozo gene, always at the scene of the crime. Even that first goal he boots it out for a corner for seemingly no reason at all. A controlled game turns into disaster in an instant.

Many will be confused as to why we are going for another attacker in and already top heavy squad, but the club will look at each target in isolation. We may see cb as a priority but doesn’t necessarily mean that’s the next transfer we make, it all depends on availability.
🚨 Bournemouth may be powerless to prevent Antoine Semenyo sale in January. Contract includes £65m release clause; available to all clubs but must be activated by set date so #AFCB get time to replace. Applies again in summer at lower price 🚨 @theathleticfc.bsky.social

Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo has £65m release clause with January transfer possible
The clause must be activated by a specific date, giving Bournemouth time to replace their best player, and is available to any team.

We look goosed.
November 9, 2025 at 5:22 PM
Konate needs to mind his business there imo, doesn’t need to get involved
November 9, 2025 at 4:44 PM
Maybe it is just as simple as Macca being back playing well means the team plays well. Even last season we always looked better when he was on the pitch.
November 4, 2025 at 10:23 PM
Wirtz doing well on the left. Holding width when he needs to but still finding space in central areas.
November 4, 2025 at 9:01 PM
Let’s see how we play over the next three games before judging that selection. If we play brilliant and win all three, I won’t care. Sadly I don’t think we’re playing shite because we are tired, so resting players probably won’t make a blind bit of difference.
October 29, 2025 at 9:44 PM
I don’t understand our press at all. One or two players run around like headless chickens, while the rest sit back, what’s the point?
October 29, 2025 at 8:35 PM
Palace haven’t rotated that much and have the rest of their first team on the bench, we could get stuff here
October 29, 2025 at 6:47 PM
Good to see the lads that we all wanted to get given a start perform well. Robertson, jones, Wirtz, Ekitike all really good.
October 22, 2025 at 9:08 PM
If we’re going to persist with that setup I don’t think Mo can play on the right, he would have to play as one of the front two. He can’t just hang out on the right not defending when we only have two midfielders.
October 22, 2025 at 9:02 PM
Jones and szobozslai brilliant, they should both start on sat.
October 22, 2025 at 8:55 PM
That’s stinking from Salah, your teammate is begging for a goal to get him going.
