I know the show is a group effort but I can't divorce any of that in my mind. There are other shows and a lot of creators begging for a greenlight. IPs are not so precious

Woof, yea that's a toughie. I haven't gone through my archive but I know I have at least one sketch from someone where I'm like...I really don't wanna be reminded of this 😑 If not JJ, there's gotta be some kinda magazine or editorial archive/museum.

I think that's the first shonen I read all the way through, too. But I didn't want it on my shelf with all the things that bring me joy. Haven't engaged with that reboot or whatever. Let artists who aren't predators have some success.

I think the monster reveals are my favorite pages every chapter. Probably because I spend half of every chapter edging the plot.

They try to do a thing at the end where Mario sees himself in the commercial with the cape, but it has nothing to hook to.

It's not like an Iron Giant Superman moment where we spend the whole movie building up to it. And it's not like he spent the whole movie not wanting to be a hero.
