Was trying to figure out how tall my nephew was for a Xmas gift. But rather than asking his mom, I remembered he rode Rise this summer so could check the height limit! The gift had 2 sizes, shorter than 100cm and taller than, but Rise is minimum 102cm, so I know to get the big one lol!

Just been feeling so exhausted and burnt out lately. Work, personal life, world news etc. But talking to Sean and I think a lot is just grief. Grief for what I thought the world was and for what we now see is the truth. And it’s just been building for the past year. Wanna RipVanWinkle the next 3yrs.

So we’re getting married next year on a Disney cruise, leaving from Vancouver. Should be easy right… except the World Cup is in Seattle/vancouver that week! There is literally a game less than a mile from the cruise port the day we leave.

I think my work computer is a misogynist. When I just look at the camera to unlock it, it says not recognized. …But if I smile, it unlocks. 🤦🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️

Went to see Jurassic World and the couple in front of us brought a baby! Like in a stroller and everything! Only thing that made me more surprised was that it didn’t make a peep during the movie!

Disneyland, Legoland, and SeaWorld with a 4-yr old. Certainly demonstrates the Disney difference, operations wise. Even though the other two were pretty empty, long waits for food, rides (we didn’t do many anyways), and lots of things closed. Still good with family though.

So ICE has moved on to staying in Monrovia, my hometown. I’ve tried calling City Hall and Marriott but “high volume of calls”. Monrovia had to send out notice their police aren’t going to assist with anything immigration. Your move, Marriott!

Realization today: we had a meeting I thought was specific project related, and turns out more about overall workload and included only 4 people. Wait, am I part of the west fire team leadership now? Definitely don’t love people managing but that’s the way of my industry.

Some pics from Disney dream last week. As always, the food and service was astounding! Shows were fun but several had technical issues. Midship detective was very cool. Ship was pretty full and short cruises are crazy, so def doing 7+ days in future.

Heading to Ft Lauderdale to board the Disney Dream on Monday! Our food/architecture tour was cancelled on Sunday… is it weird I considered taking Brightline up to Orlando for the day lol? (Not going to, $$$, probably just do an escape room and relax)

If anyone is playing “Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon” with the new Pope, I’m at 3 degrees! Thought it would be more likely through my Catholic HS, but turns out a close Disney friend worked with his brother in Chicago!

Years ago I traveled with a friend to Yas Island around 2007/2008.
He & I were platonic and we’re going to be staying in separate rooms.
We flew into Abu Dhabi Airport (now Zayed) & were immediately detained.
They took our phones and accused us of extramarital relations.
