I feel like you can't even buy bootleg merch, as continuing to interact keeps the franchise alive in our culture and sends mixed signals to the people you want to support.

Yeah, holding people accountable now is a start, but it won't undo the damage caused by not enforcing the law in the first place. And, of course, the master minds will walk away free.

To be fair, I don't see the DOGE employees as hapless victims.
I think their situation is a combination of knowing they were doing wrong, but not being fully aware of how abnormal and egregious their crimes (and potential penalties) truly were.
