The autists on the railway forums are mad as hell that it isn’t just BR (or Big 4) liveries slapped over modern stock because of course they are

But they’re right it needs some work on the middle carriages so it flows better. We’re an all MU/fixed formation network now, you can design them for that

Going to get some sleep so I’m well rested for a long day of GBR livery discourse tomorrow

It’s nice to see there is a space on teams for someone to shout incorrect answers over the top of everyone. I’ll fill out my application form tonight #onlyconnect

One of the best things about Britain is that we still cross roads wherever we want, like it’s 1825 and the biggest risk is Black Beauty knocking you over. I hope we never change

On the slow train from Euston to Crewe, 10 carriages long. Back half of the train (by the barriers) packed, every seat taken, people standing. Front half the train, empty, I have 8 seats to myself, I can count the people in my carriage on one hand

God love the British travelling public

So you have to ban trans women from peeing because sexual assaulters will go in toilets to do sexual assaults, but they won’t do that if you just say they’re not allowed to?

How do people not see that this bigotry is completely illogical?
falkner argues the bathroom ban will be self-enforcing

just like *checks notes* . . . traffic laws

Wow, 26g of protein per 100g?? Now to quickly check how much protein is in standard cheddar real quick…
Babybel has rebranded from “upbeat bouncy red plastic cheese you buy to shut up children for five minutes” to “serious protein source for bro deadlift power up”. In this essay on what this says about our changing culture, I will…

Zarah Sultana apparently wants to nationalise the entire economy including the Internet.

Scrolling through several hundred breathless posts on the BBC News live page to find out what Starmer says because the journalists are all too excited to get a chancellor resign for no reason other than their own ego
Keir Starmer has said a number of things in his speech today where you look at it and go 'uh, this is complete nonsense that isn't backed up by anything the government is *actually* doing'. All going essentially unscrutinised.

But is it, Chris? Is it your job, as a BBC News journalist, to make political calls on our behalf?

The public are sick of companies banging on about AI because it seems like a gimmick, but the public also don’t care if companies are using AI.

It’s the same way companies changed their names in the 00s to PRODUCT.CO.UK! and people thought it was passé and it changed back, but the internet stayed
my “AI is over” anecdote is that my wife was hired over the summer to write scripts for a big tech company explaining how to use their AI tools and after many rounds of revisions, the latest notes said “we’re finding a lot of AI fatigue among our users” and to remove all references to AI
Anecdotally on twitter seeing a big shift the last few days from every AI slop account saying every other creative field is “over” and they’re in control now to now posting about how nobody likes them and it’s not fair and they’ll persevere and real artists respect and uplift eachother
