There are major federal tasks forces operating still in Memphis, New Orleans, Miami-Dade, Phoenix, South Texas, still raiding homes, kidnapping people, black-bagging people from courthouses.

If ICE does controversial things but doesn't *say* controversial things, it disappears from the news.

There are a ton of risks that come with being highly visible, especially in these times — and this is doubly true for people living in the margins. Anyone who tells you otherwise is clueless and actively endangering people with misinformation.
