There are now 20,000 Karen people living in Minnesota—most in Ramsey co.—the largest population in America.

ICE and other federal agencies conducted a workplace raid in my district today.

My statement

Finke’s district. "As your representative, I will always stand with our community. I’ll never stop fighting to protect all of our neighbors, no matter where they come from or why they are here,” said Rep. Finke. "Today’s federal action is a reminder of why we must not give no quarter to ICE and must loudly oppose the Gestapo tactics they employ to abduct our neighbors and friends.” Reports have confirmed that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) was present among other federal agencies, the action took place at a business, residents were present for a protest, and a clash between protestors and federal agents. Representative Finke continues to monitor the situation and is in touch with local leaders and law enforcement.

The Democratic Party is far from perfect, but they are the coalition that has invited us in. To lose what we have won inside the Democratic Party would be catastrophic .

The 8 democrats who betrayed our party would rather have a MAGA government in charge than a thriving progressive movement in this nation.

Whoever these folks are listening to, consultants and corporations and the wealthy elite, they do not represent people. They do not represent our human neighbors, in need, and looking for help. It is our job to help them and our democratic leaders are making it impossible to create lasting change. We must not kid ourselves. The people in charge on both sides of the aisle will fight tirelessly for the status quo. I won’t. We can’t. We must speak up and push for a people’s Democratic Party.

I am just trying to live this life I love. I am working to ensure that other trans and nonbinary folks can live a life they love, too.

I know who I am. I love being trans. I am whole.

I literally am following in her footsteps: She has trusted me to carry the E.R.A. after she pushed for years as author (and she comforted me when we couldn’t get it through the senate on the last day of 2024; through my tears she smiled and said ‘we will get it done, one day’. We will!!).

I did not get involved in the politics of the Saint Paul mayoral race. I respect both candidates and their efforts to better our city.

Now that we have results, I just want to say congratulations to mayor elect @kaohlyforstp. Kaohly and her team ran an incredible campaign, in only 90 days.

Very powerful Win at the Minnesota Supreme Court today in Jaycee Cooper versus USA powerlifting.

The law in Minnesota is clear: Transgender people have a right in Minnesota under the Minnesota human rights access to full inclusion and the Supreme Court has upheld that fact.

Miss Major Griffin-Gracy has died. She was 78.

As an activist for our shared liberation, I am so grateful I had the opportunity to share space with her on this earth, even a handful of times. Miss Major showed us how to do this work. Our fight is just, and lifelong; let her light lead us onward.

It does not make sense.
The treatment Rep Franson is receiving should be fully covered by insurance. Gender health care is not "trans only" care, its for all of us. If we ever get over the moral panic of trans existence, we can do SO much good together for everyone's health and mental well being.
