What can I say? It’s devastating news both that it happened and how it happened. Rob Reiner put good into the universe and cared deeply about humanity and decency. Our world is a little lonelier tonight. My condolences to his family, his close friends like Albert Brooks, and his poor Uncle Mel.

My reaction to the tragic news was to feel instantly sickened as if it happened to someone I knew and loved. Except I didn't know Rob Reiner. I sure did love him, though.
