No result is acceptable until it's the one that explicitly bans us from existing.

He's gonna wait a looooooong time for us to return with those people to sacrifice.

Meanwhile, nearby towns are suddenly gonna find them and their cinema hangout super suspicious for some reason 🤔

Snuggling up with my wife and the animals, watching tv.

This is a very regular occurrence, I just...I always love it.

On the plus side:

1) free second pair of reading glasses for when I'm settling down for some reading or other close work.

2) I'll be able to read text at a couple metres distance again.

So yay for those things, just an extra ouch for my slowly increasing debt levels 🫤

But in addition to my usual anti glare and transitions lenses, I'm also getting varifocals for the first time so now my glasses cost *even more*.

So now Cuddles' new ones are delayed til we can scrape back some of what we just laid out on these.

I struggle with light, you see, so I need anti-glare and transitions lenses, which aren't cheap but are necessary for me to properly function.

And now I'm looking at dropping money we don't have on this because right now I can't see shit.

(typing this 2 inches from my nose and it's still blurry)

So now I have to figure out how to hold these things on my face long enough to get to an optician tomorrow and see if they can perform a fix to last long enough for me to get a new test and some new frames, if needed.

Which is very much NOT in the budget, especially because I need add-ons.

There's nothing this is specifically in reference to, just putting words to idle thoughts. But I feel like it's gonna be an evergreen "don't make me tap the sign" post for me...
