Now we find it’s already changing the chemical composition of the food on your plate theconversation.com/climate-chan...
Climate change is affecting your food – and not in your favour
Our food is becoming more calorifc, less nutritious – and possibly more toxic.

Why are we commemorating Hiroshima’s 80th anniversary with new nuclear weapons? And why is the Govt backing idea of a glossy new PR campaign to persuade us we need nukes whilst simultaneously trying to block inquiry into impacts of nuclear war?
Me for @indyvoices.bsky.social

Why are we commemorating Hiroshima’s 80th anniversary with new nuclear weapons?
The bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki should be a reminder of the horrors of nuclear attack – not a chance for Britain to announce it is spending billions on submarine-launched atomic warheads, says ...

great to hear about this, thanks!
Last Friday @emmamcdoofus.bsky.social and I took our class on Audience Engagement to @lulgalleries.bsky.social to view the archives of @leedsanimation.bsky.social and it was really lovely dreaming up ideas for workshops. Sometimes I really love my job.

Good to see this press interview from 1978 in Leeds Other Paper - one of the very few publications that’s ever understood why we prefer not to use individual names when discussing collective matters.
Good old LOP.
A great #AnimatedActivism exhibition opened last night at @lulgalleries.bsky.social - so here's when the first film by @leedsanimation.bsky.social made front page news in LOP in 1978, plus a two page interview inside.
Unlike LOP, btw, the workshop is still going today - respect.

It's good to see LOP cited frequently among the sources in Gavin Butt's excellent book No Machos Or Pop Stars (@dukepress.bsky.social) - he's also got this par that neatly puts the paper in context with @redladder.bsky.social, @leedsanimation.bsky.social, #LeedsPostcards, #Suma and all the rest.

And here's one of numerous pieces in #LeedsOtherPaper over the years about @leedswomensaid.bsky.social, this one from LOP 83 in June 1978.
National and local #WomensAid archive material also features in the #AnimatedActivism exhibition at @lulgalleries.bsky.social @universityofleeds.bsky.social
