Of course Speaker Johnson has declared the remainder of the year to be “one day” to avoid voting on it. I’m wondering if house members will only get paid for one day the rest of the year?

Yep - negotiations always depend on what Trump wants - that doesn’t seem like a negotiation but rather a dictatorial demand.
