I hope that this rescheduling will finally pave the way for large-scale clinical trials/studies of the compounds in cannabis to determine their medicinal effectiveness, rather than the anecdotal placebo-skewed information we rely on now. If it proves to be effective as medicine it will be wonderful.

A lot of drugs are not much better than placebo but they are still prescribed. The lack of side effects needs to be put into the equation too. Aspirin can make elderly people bleed to death, Paracetamol can destroy the liver etc.

I made my first visit to an official MN dispensary and there were the expected audience and then about a 1/4 of people who looked like it was their first time buying cannabis since the 1970s.

There seem to have been some in certain legal states. Otherwise you could have made your own!
