I’ve been working hard adding combat to my game engine. It’s now possible to add status effects to attacks, oh and you can die in the game now!

A demo using the new behaviour system in the game editor. You can build “brains” and assign them to NPCs. They will use the brains to react to you in the game world.

NPCs can now ride the monorail 🚝 around the world when they want to travel to/from work, for example. My goal is for the NPCs to be able to travel the world just like the player can. I’m hoping that it makes the world feel more alive! #GameDev #SoloDev #IndieDev #IndieGame

Today I got implemented fast travel using the game’s monorail 🚝 system. It made use of a multi-choice menu which is a brand new engine UI feature. 👌

I can now place monorail 🚝 stations in the world using the game editor. I extended the trigger system. Now I can give triggers a “kind”. This could be extended further by adding different kinds as the game evolves. 👌

I had a good go at #coding a fast travel transition for my new sci-fi gardening game today! It was the first shader coding I’d done for 5-6 months so I’m pleased with how it turned out. Let me know what you think 🤔!

Sven (The Driod 🟩) can use his mining laser (currently imaginary) to break apart rocks and hoover up iron-ore for crafting.
None of it has real art assets yet but the system works!
