I have no idea why this skeet gave me an image of you sweeping random words into a pile, words that have been collecting like dust bunnies under the furniture and in kitchen corners.

Probably they scatter when you try to sweep them into a dustpan, so reading is a much better idea.

Thank you! I’m enjoying pretending to be a pre-20th-century patient.

They were terrific!

Also, I actually know someone in Portland who is knowledgeable about clothes, so if you ever need to buy a dress, I’d be happy to introduce you! (She’s not on social media.)

She dresses like a Portlander in real life, but knows about things like hemlines & how things should fit: stuff I don’t know.

Yup, that’s why we need Aunties! Because we don’t all have the same knowledge. Your job online is to recognize the need for an Auntie, like a bystander in a comic book calling for Superman.

“That high collar isn’t doing your figure any favors. You’ll see when it’s photographed: it makes your breasts look both huge and droopy. Buy a dress with a V neck, you’ll thank me later.”

On a possibly more serious note:
If someone’s in a hospital or nursing home and their 🦋 friends can’t get there, a local Auntie Network volunteer could visit on their behalf. “Your friends bought you these cookies. Want to play a game of cards?”

For example:
If Dampscribbler is feeling low, Laurelsbooks (frustrated by living in NY and unable to bake for her) can ask an Oregon Auntie to bring her muffins.

If Laurelsbooks needs a companion to go dress shopping (😩), DS dispatches a knowledgeable NY Auntie to view & approve the dress.

I’ve been musing on this idea, because we DO have aunties right here on 🦋: when I complained about a rash on my arm, Whetstone, Rivikah & NeonNurse gave me good advice. I’m grateful & itch less!

What we need is an Aunties NETWORK. For example…

Whoops, you’re right about sealing it in!

The arm has been washed with Castile soap often since a dog slobbered on it (if dogspit was the allergen). In any case, I took a Benadryl tablet last night & smeared on Benadryl ointment today, and it’s feeling better.

Thank you for your kind support! ☺️

Thank you! I don’t have shea butter or Vaseline, but I do have coconut oil in the fridge. It works on mosquito bites; it might work on this rash, too.

If it doesn’t, I’ll pick up shea butter tomorrow…
