Mamdani’s canvassers must not have been able to get into Peggy Noonan’s building b/c she has obviously never met any of his vols.

The next time we go to the polls to vote for Mayor, she will be able to cast her own ballot. 😍🥹🥰

"The question of whether the people under the age of 35 were going to show up to vote has been answered." Laura Tamman, a political scientist at Pace University, said. She called the turnout a "meaningful shift" that was likely good news for Mamdani.

1st Day of Early Voting in!

2021 vs 2025

Turnout is up more than 500%
(Granted, COVID affected in person voting numbers and the race was perceived as even less competitive. But still! 500% increase is a lot).

Looking forward to digging into new reg/1st time muni voter stats.

Had a blast at City Hall today introducing @paceuniversity.bsky.social students to All Star New Yorkers!

Thank you to the Queen of Queens herself @katiehonan.bsky.social from @thecity.nyc! (And various other Room 9 reporters who let us intrude on their day).

It also means Mamdani doesn’t owe a thing to the interest groups that are used to having a say in how NYC is governed. That gives him a historically unprecedented opportunity to take bold steps. It will be fascinating to watch.

@polgreen.bsky.social nails Mamdani’s appeal and what it means for an increasingly diverse US electorate, with insights from @jomoko.bsky.social, who knows more about the New York City electorate than anyone else alive.

Ngl, reading the Cuomo post mortem pieces, and I’m feeling pretty good about what I said in March.

This is a very compelling piece, with a line that sounds like it was written by John Oliver (which is high praise).

Only a Cuomo campaign would rely on “paid volunteers” for GOTV. Are they actors? pretending to be volunteers?

I only look at polls in the aggregate, and then only at trends. I always suspected Cuomo had a 1st round ceiling that was below 50%, and the recent polling trends bear that out. His numbers are trending flat or down. Mamdani’s numbers have risen sharply over the last month.

Rebecca Traister articulates all the things I think and know and believe so clearly and eloquently. This whole piece is 🔥 but this section is my absolute favorite. @rtraister.bsky.social
