Revolutionary Girl Utena Omnibus 1
So I wasn't crazy about a lot of the anime, although some of it was a pretty fun. That having been said, I did have a much better time with this part of the manga. The only character who is worse to me is Juri, whose anime portrayal was better

And I really do think it's completely worth reading the collectors editions that are being released. The originals have some not great language that feels bad, which isnt present in the fresh translation. Overall, a very good series.

Pet shop of Horrors volume 7
The stories in this one really went a different sort of direction, but not in a bad way. I was a bit worried about the chapter titled 'Diet' as usually these themes get a little gross for me, but I actually liked the overall message.

Some observe October 27th as an additional Day of the Dead for pets, and I can't help but think of @kennysgreathandle.bsky.social and my sweet boy who we said goodbye to this year, Nemo. He loved to eat and cuddling up where it's warm and quiet with his favorite people. We will never forget you, bud

The stories in this volume very well depicted how Count D has an awareness of what is happening super-naturally, but is perfectly able to erase any possible culpability from himself. He still intrigues, even halfway through the manga

I am grateful that we have the opportunity to foster some lovely cats and take care of them until they get adopted. We have our 3rd and 4th fosters right now and I love getting to spend time with all of these animals until they find a good home.

As we begin to introduce even more danger outside of the pet shop, we still have very little idea of who or what the mysterious Count D is, but details are starting to emerge. The setting is starting to feel more immersive, too.
