it's so funny that alex jones was totally right about everything, the government is a bunch of drug-addled pedophiles and masked regime thugs are grabbing people off the streets, and now he has to pretend it's all a hoax

He says he got a congratulatory call from Curtis Sliwa, though.

I don’t know how many times I’ve watched this video.

I don’t know how we’ve gotten to the point where men in full balaclavas can abduct daycare teachers while they’re watching children.

But I do know that this isn’t sustainable. Abolish ICE. There is no way to reform this.

This video from Portland is a metaphor for what is going on in America. ICE trying so hard to get Americans to cross a line and if they don't, dragging them across the line and violently attacking.

Yes please, more of this.

Weak. Call them weak, use that word specifically, name it for what it is
AOC: I think there's two things that are happening at once: One, there absolutely is an unprecedented abuse of power, destruction of norms, erosion of our government and our democracy in order to prop up an authoritarian style of governance

However, they are weaker than they look…

This is so very dumb and misguided.

like how can they gaslight us saying it’s because we unfairly called him a nazi that he’s dead and then bring a nazi onstage to eulogize him and call him his commander
Next up- Jack Poso (but of course) - comes out with his crucifix in the air- tries to get a “Charlie Kirk” chant going. Starts talking about the “end of western civilization” - called Kirk his commander. Declares Kirk “the turning point” for western civilization

I hate telling this story, but when tear gas is in the news... telling always feels importantm

Tear gas is an abortifacient.

When I was tear gassed, we were trying for a baby.

The following day, I bled in a way I never have before. Like no period of my life before or since.

Horror movie stuff.
Tear gas everywhere.

Dems don't understand. Sargent is right. You have to attack Disney/ABC. You have to threaten Disney/ABC. You have to tell them they will be punished. You have to describe the punishment. You have to go on Stephanopolous and tell him he should be ashamed and resign.
On Kimmel, Dems should say clearly that those who carry out Trump's corrupt orders will face consequences. Tell Brendan Carr that he can expect to face harsh scrutiny for potential lawbreaking. Say right on ABC that the network caved to an autocrat.

Thoughts on this:

The defining lesson of this first year of Trump authoritarianism is that kowtowing & capitulating yields zero permanent benefit and only emboldens the admin to come after you more.

This critical lesson was first documented in the landmark political science treatise “If You Give a Mouse a Cookie.”
Pretty clear illustration of "you may as well stand up for what you believe in, they're coming for you anyway."
So, a university president fired a professor because they taught a course that discussed there being more than two genders, and now the university president is being fired for not having fired the professor quickly enough, is where we're at. www.nytimes.com/2025/09/18/u...
