More of a warning than a condition, the south side (EB) bike lane has had some work done, and it's a right mess. Very uneven dirt? pavement? patch, followed by some very hazardous ice/snow formations.
Not fun to hit if you manage to work up a bit of speed!

In Ottawa, it's literally at the whim of plow operators, who randomly stop at intersections and don't plow an entire length of a 5km stretch.

Can someone please explain to me why the Scott cycling infra doesn't get plowed past IPD?
Do we stop plowing roads at intersections? No, we do not.
Do better. People need this infra to get to work.

Went for a little stroll on my lunch to see the progress at Richmond/Golden. Seems like yet another project for which no one thought about where water pools. Yet another pedestrian crossing that will be treacherous in bad weather.

My Dad asked me to find some cute xmas brooches for his partner (they live in a very small town), and then asked me to put them in boxes.
I think I delivered.
Seven brooches, each box half individually wrapped so she can open them without ripping the paper.
Only took me about 2 hours.
