Of course, no one seems willing to hold him accountable. A judge in Georgia has now dismissed the last remaining criminal case against Trump, effectively ending any effort to hold him criminally responsible for trying to overturn the 2020 election.

MEMORANDUM OPINION Since August 11, 2025, over 2,000 members of the National Guard have been deployed to the District of Columbia. While in the District, these units have provided support to local and federal law enforcement agencies. Guard units have patrolled on the National Mall, in Metro Transit stations, and across D.C. neighborhoods. The Guard’s operations in D.C. have been coordinated by the Joint Task Force District of Columbia (JTF-DC), which oversees units from D.C.’s own National Guard (DCNG) and from other states, including South Carolina, West Virginia, Mississippi, Louisiana, Tennessee, Ohio, Georgia, Alabama, and South Dakota. At this point, National Guard units are expected to remain in the District through February 28, 2026. The District of Columbia (Plaintiff) filed this suit, alleging that the National Guard deployment violated the Administrative Procedure Act (APA), the District of Columbia Home Rule Act, the Emergency Management Assistance Compact (EMAC), the Posse Comitatus Act (PCA), and the Constitution. The complaint named three categories of Defendants: (1) President Donald J. Trump, (2) the United States Department of Defense, Secretary of Defense Peter B. Hegseth, the United States Army, and Secretary of the Army Daniel P. Driscoll (collectively, DOD Defendants), and (3) the Department of Justice, Attorney General Pamela J. Bondi, the U.S.

That's bc Chief Judge William Pryor and Trump appointee Andrew Brasher said much of what Trump wants to charge as CRIMINAL conspiracy is not one.

In 2022, between his terms of office, President Donald Trump filed a lawsuit against dozens of defendants, alleging several claims, including two under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act and three under Florida law. The district court dismissed the amended complaint with prejudice for failure to state a claim. On the defendants’ motions, the district court also entered sanctions against Trump and his attorneys, under Rule 11 and under its inherent authority. While those orders were on appeal, Trump and his attorneys moved the district court to reconsider each order in the light of a report by Special Counsel John Durham. They also moved to disqualify the district judge. The district court denied both motions. Two defendants ask us to sanction Trump for bringing a frivolous appeal

Back in August, Judge Lewis Kaplan ordered DHS to start treating people humanely at 26 Fed. Plaintiffs says DHS has fixed none of the problems there and are asking for sanctions.

More than three months have passed since this Court issued a Temporary Restraining Order on August 12, 2025 requiring Defendants to implement specific and detailed policies to rectify their unconstitutional practices, which were later incorporated into a Preliminary Injunction issued on September 17, 2025. In contravention of these orders, however, Defendants appear never to have implemented many of the required procedures, particularly those regarding attorney access, hygiene, and the provision of the Notice of Rights to all detained individuals. Plaintiffs have conferred with Defendants on multiple occasions, but attempts to obtain assurances that Defendants will comply with this Court’s orders remain futile. Defendants provided a wholly insufficient response to Plaintiffs’ first letter regarding these issues and have not responded substantively to Plaintiffs’ second letter. Meanwhile, testimony from detained individuals and the attorneys who have tried in vain to speak with them continues to accumulate, showing that more than three months after this Court ordered immediate changes to their practices, Defendants continue to ignore these directives. Plaintiffs now seek the Court’s assistance. Defendants’ ongoing, intentional violations of Court orders merit a finding of contempt and the imposition of sanctions. The Court’s orders are clear and unambiguous, the proof of noncompliance is clear and convincing, and the evidence shows that Defendants have been far from diligent in any attempts to reasonably comply with the Court’s orders. As such, a finding of contempt with associated fines and sanctions, including attorneys’ fees, is appropriate.

11th Circuit cites Clinton v Jones in ruling that Trump doesn't get extended statute of limitations on lawsuits to sue Hillary just bc he was super busy as President.

The Supreme Court rejected a similar request from President Clinton when it refused to excuse him from judicial process during his term. See Clinton v. Jones, 520 U.S. 681, 703–04 (1997). It took no issue with a private citizen subjecting the president to judicial process, in the process burdening his “time and energy” and “impair[ing] the effective performance of his office.” Id. at 702. If a president can be haled into court, he cannot be excused from suing to enforce his rights. Trump unpersuasively argues that two “circumstances” support his request. First, he points to the workload he faced during his first term. But it is hard to see how his presidential workload differs from any other modern president, and those concerns did not arrest the Supreme Court in Clinton. See 520 U.S. at 697–99. Second, Trump argues that he was unable to seek relief in court while in office because, if he had filed this lawsuit during the Mueller or Durham investigations, “it would have looked like [he] was interfering with law enforcement functions.” But this argument gives away the game. Equitable tolling requires the circumstances “prevent[ing]” Trump from suing to be “beyond [his] control.” Menominee Indian Tribe, 577 U.S. at 255, 257 (citation and internal quotation marks omitted).
