i have a limited understanding of methodism but am i correct in thinking that the difference is that for methodists, after baptism, it is fully a choice (whereas afaik at least the 'orthodox' lutheran and reformed view is that even after baptism all we do are tainted by sin)

when the land frontier closed in europe do you think european rulers and nobility were like 'i don't know if the bible permits drawing precise borders, maybe the only biblical way is to actually send some knights out to collect taxes and have some skirmishes every couple of years'
