Specifically, for gaming their is bazzite.gg which is essentially Valve's SteamOS freed from the steam deck.

Good article about it here ctrl-alt-rees.com/2025-06-19-b...
Bazzite - The Gaming OS Microsoft Doesn't Want You To Know About
It seems like just a short few years ago, "Linux Gaming" was something of a punchline - but not any longer, thanks to efforts like Valve's Proton and distributions like Bazzite. But is it finally good...

No need for the walled (and expensive) switch to MacOS either. Any main flavour of Linux is fine for day to day PC use now, a very polished experience across Ubuntu, Debian, Mint, Pop!OS etc.

And thanks to Steam's investment in Proton a fair few OSes have great support if you need a gaming rig.

I'm also pretty sure the deadline for a libel claim in the UK is 12 months after publication, which is a shame because I'd love for the case to get to discovery when a BBC Lawyer asks for Trumps bank statements for the last 12 months to prove financial loss.

We certainly wouldn't have shows like The Sky at Night or anything like the quality documentaries the BBC Natural History Unit makes.

I think some people think the BBC is just BBC One, Two and iPlayer. When BBC R&D, World Service and Monitoring are responsible for so much more.

Like the BBC has it's faults, but in my book it's up there with the NHS.

Without the BBC and the soft power it provides, I doubt we'd have half as much sway in the anglo-zeitgeist that we do.

Without the BBC and it's unique model I don't think we'd have half the British talent that we do.

Other than the schedule change, is the only way to tell they're in DR the very small dot on their DOG?

Hasn’t it been the case a fair few times that the Regional News has been the most watched programme of the day, or did I imagine that?

That’s where I think terrestrial linear tv is going, live events and water cooler shows surrounded by filler that might as well be a test card.
