My only big thing was I refused to query anyone who asked for a cover letter FOR the query letter XD That was just ridiculous LOL.

I've done it and I honestly didn't hate it. You just send a LOT of emails for not a ton of response, generally. I got a handful of partials, like... 5 or 6 full requests, maybe? (That book was REALLY not ready to be published LOL.)

No, it's totally normal to do unsolicited querying in publishing! Manuscript wishlist and query tracker are both fine, and work well. As long as you follow the guidelines, you're good.

that's a different thing. a different thing that already existed in the time of floppies. if you were going around on the 90s calling 3.5" disks "hard disks" you were just being confusing.
