This touches on one of my favorite things about ShB - that Emet-Selch, the Exarch, AND THANCRED are all foils of the same "I lost something irreplaceable and am confronted with the horrors it would take to get it back" concept

Selkie has a bad case of "needs to be right 100% of the time" and "needs to correct everyone". She's gotten better, but she can still be rather insufferable when she chooses to be.

I hadn't realized how much having a pet improves my mental well being until I started taking care of Ruby. Just having that daily routine of "Oh I need to pet my dragon and take care of her" seems to be working wonders on me.

During Shadowbringers. Rhea finally got fed up with how Thancred had been treating Minfillia and confronted him about it. Thancred pushed back and there was a fair amount of yelling. Also Rhea's claws came out. Thancred still sports a nice scar on his face from it.

Rhea is known as the "Starcaller" because during the fight against Gaius in the Ultima Weapon, she ended it by dropping a meteor on his head. She regularly continues to bring this up to him.
