I also left today without playing anything as my brain is not my friend, but we did our job and got the decorations we've been making the past few months up and looking good. This year's theme is revolution and so we made a picket line.

So the ones I know tend to have a permanent stair that has a gap between top of the stair and the stabbur. I looked up at the website, lokalhistorie, and they have a couple photos. I would have to look into it more than just this to say something as a whole, but these 2 has a tree trunk as a ladder.

These are the stabbur I'm used to seeing! My grandparents's family mountain cabin cluster had one we used frequently as I recall. Not to store food, but like just any other storage shed.

I had my dog groomed today, and the groomer lady was so excited when she saw me, and ooh'd and aah'd over my outfit, my scarf, the braid, the hat. As I left, she shouted after me that I had made her so happy with all the colours, I had made her day.

Hobi has his Hope pots up still! As do I, in the windowsill, housing four small propagated dischidia oiantha variegated plants. They were proplifted last year and were dormant for most of the year, until they finally started setting leaves around midsummer.

I think the order of pots is wrong 😂

There's like a ridge on the inside of the swirls, maybe the N is tied to that, a decrease perhaps?

It's definitely made pre-Internet knitting because there's no way a modern knitter would make that puckering anus now instead of a magic ring 😂

I went with a friend to a store area a bit outside the city, road trip / quest /date, we saw many fun things and laughed a lot, and then I found this absolute beauty of a hand-knitted and hand-sewn bedspread in cotton. Each motif has been knit separately and then sewn together, like a quilt.

I finished my vine, it goes almost exactly twice around my hat. I felted it quite thoroughly, so it shrank in half, as I hoped. I'm happy about it!

I figured it out. Sorry for your ears.

I've got my glasses, finally, after waiting way too long.

He did not. This is an edit, for whatever reason I can't fathom. The original photo is a photo card from the 2024 Japan fanclub.

The leaves I've made today are cute. The orange ones will have 2 more prongs at least, but it's late and I'm tired.

The berry cluster was something I saw while walking the dog today, on a hedgerow. I wanted to make it, tho I don't know if it reads as berries 🤭

I started this on Friday, and I'm not done yet! Still have about a third of the vine left to fill with leaves. I'm having fun making all kinds of leaves! Maple, ivy, tiny pothos, ginko, and generic oval ones.

I can't read crochet work very well so it's a lot of active focus and counting. 😅
October 27, 2025 at 12:38 PM
That's my goal 😁 I'm making a vine of leaves that I'll felt and drape around the hat too!
October 26, 2025 at 2:42 PM
I feel so good in all these layers. 😍

I've bought a red hat and I've pulled out autumnal colours to make a vine of leaves with crochet, if I felt it, it will look quite cool I think.

Perhaps I can make some chain charms off the brim too, for that autumn witch look

He also mentioned it in this interview, which I believe is the HYYH on stage vcr, I can double check time stamps later!

In the next sentence he says he practiced kendo for 6-7 years after this.

Going colour coord today as I'm getting ready to go paint some signs for a game festival in a few weeks 🎨

Peep the belt - it's a bit hard to see, but my friend who made both the orange dress and the green skirt, has also made me a braided leather belt! 😍

I have a thin cotton chemise I'm mending, and it's getting pretty threadbare. I was ironing on patches around the arm hole, and then I heard a tearing sound from the drawstring sheath.... And it's all worn out. I need to unpick, reinforce, and rehem the entire thing. 💀

I bought two at the same+

I picked up a comic book series from a local author at the library today and it's making me so happy, I'm reading it while listening to folk music which really sets the mood!

It's called Northern Lights in English, written by Malin Falch, and is a Norwegian folklore fantasy story 😍

This time I'm using a regular old polyester sewing thread from Gütermann, in a grey. Hoping for a happy medium between the two 👏 the poly has much longer fibres than cotton does so it should be better. It's also thinner, making it easier to find the holes when I have to embroider across the line.
October 16, 2025 at 3:37 PM
Prepping the last piece of the embroidery today, by marking the center lines. I've tried three different threads for marking. First was black cotton, and I had to pick tiny black fibres out of my work alll the time. Second I tried the same white as I embroider with, but I literally couldn't see it.

I don't think it's only us 😂

Just out here being a fat queer icon again ✨

(I'm dressing up for spooky month film evenings with friends 🤭 there was apple cake and tea.)
