Remember this chat early 80's directed at my half Nigerian father (b. 1942 in Edinburgh) and then by extension me a brown skinned, blonde haired child. Suggestion being that despite my 3 Scottish white grandparents, possession of a black one was disqualifying for being British. Not happy it's back

it is awful. I mean if there are too many people already here and they are not encouraged to leave by being unable to settle and and being impoverished by repeated visa fees then the logical next step is what Rupert Lowe is talking about.....

I use Kindle a lot for hardback. Mainly because they are heavy to carry if I am going out and want something to read on tube. Also find it good for holidays where I would generally read a book a day which used to be hard on the luggage limit! Still like a book so I do a mix
