It isn’t just Stephen A Smith and it isn’t just ESPN.
Personally I think there’s a subconscious bias against it because straight men are programmed from a young age to think that knowing someone’s name is gay 🤷🏻♂️

I don’t understand the context of your comment, but yes, it is a terrible choice from a producing standpoint point, given how much graphical real estate they devote to meaningless, empty, speculation
