Not sure where I was trying to go with this honestly. Only that I hate the word unalive with a burning passion but there is more to it than just the Kids These Days being wimps about facing their own mortality or dodging tiktok censors.

And I think there might have been something in there about people reacting in physiologically/psychologically similar ways to curse words like "fuck" and taboo words like "die." You know that scene in The King's Speech? Brains put swears in a different category than words.

Such as sex, excrement, and blasphemy (fuck, shit, goddamn, etc.) But the article also noted that those topics were becoming less taboo, and the new "taboo" words were related to death. People don't "die," they "pass on." And also disease - cancer is "the big C."
