Ninox: Don't murder any of their friends. Make sure they know you will not get blood on their books. Keep your whiskers and feathers very clean so you're not loud. Try to learn what motions make them comfortable (ears, tail) or uncomfortable (eating their pets). Adjust as needed

Oh hey, I was just thinking about you a few weeks ago. Your black-billed magpie cousins are very hard to get credit for on the Merlin birdsong app 'cause they don't sing around here. I finally woke up to one having an argument with the blue jays in the yard, and I can now check you off my list <3

Zeph: I almost beat him in a floof contest by dressing up as a snowgryphon one Blue-eyed Festival, but then as I leapt out to pounce him, he was so scared he floofed up to three times his original size =(

Zeph: The best thing about Hatzel is that Hatzel is the best! There are best friends (derogatory), like Younce and Xavi, but then there's BEST friends (complimentary), and that's Hatzel. Plus, she lets me me crash at her nest when mine gets taken over by guests.

My other surprise was heath aster. Sometimes, plants just... sit out a year. So 2024, no bee plants. 2025, fields of them. I was out walking early October and there were frost aster everywhere, and I was making notes to grab seeds later, but I got home and some had found their way here already.

These're from a month ago =) the purple with yellow is the Bigelow's aster. The yellow hiding along the fringe are dwarf/rubber rabbitbrush.

While Kia has never had her own sticker pack, @stupidshepherd.bsky.social would often draw fun group picks of the various characters they've done stickers for at the end of the year, and one year, Kia got a cameo in a Christmas scene =]

At the gym today thinking about the canonically trans characters in GryphIns (Whisper, Lei, Clamshell) versus the ones fans seem to have a consensus on being trans (Naya, Grax).
It'll probably get cut, but I did write a scene with Grax's PoV that makes her explicitly trans for fun.
