Its early for #featheredfriday but I was so excited to find out I got a lifer today! I noticed a few warblers fluttering around near the ground in the invasive honeysuckle, they turned out to be palm warblers from what other birders have told me.

Today celebrates another of my favorite birds! Africa's largest flying birds between 12 and 40lbs, the Kori Bustard. These two are Mosi and Mana who reside in Des Moines Iowa at Blank Park Zoo and are part of the species survival plan

Today is world bear day. Bears have always had a place in my heart since I was privileged enough to work with them years ago. In 2023 I got to visit Yellowstone National Park and photographed a number of bears, including this American Black Bear cub and it's mother. #bears #mammals #wildlife
