The EU is one of the world’s most fossil-import-dependent economies. In 2023, imports met 58% of its energy demand -near pre-crisis levels - leaving consumers exposed to price shocks. That’s far above China (24%) & India (37%); only Japan (84%) & South Korea (80%) rely more.

Netherlands and China are on the way to being the next Norway, where internal combustion engine auto sales are nearly dead.

BEVs were 65% of Dutch auto sales in December and 41% for 2025.

In China, internal combustion autos market share falls to ~40%.

☀️ Good news! Renewables keep pushing fossil fuels out of the EU electricity mix.

In 2025, wind and solar power was 291 TWh higher than in 2021. The fossil fuel share went down by 257 TWh.

NEW RECORD: The share of solar of Hungary's electricity generation increased from 0% in 2015 to 28% in 2025.

This is despite total electricity generation being 15% higher in 2025 than in 2000.

In Minnesota wurde nun ein 5 Jähriger Junge auf dem Heimweg von seiner Schule abgepasst, verhaftet & mit seinem Vater in ein Abschiebelager verschleppt.

Die ICE-Agenten benutzten den kleinen Jungen sogar als Köder um den Vater aus dem Haus zu locken.

So sieht "Remigration" in der Praxis aus.

NEW: Coal-fired power generation fell in both China and India in 2025, for the first time since 1973. The drop came after record clean energy additions in both countries, and was the first time that clean energy was a major driver of falling coal power use.

Clean energy supporters hope for high oil prices due to reduced supply, but the opposite is happening. Despite global tensions that should increase price, it is falling. I read this as the market pricing in future demand reduction due to electric vehicles esp. in Asia. OECD peaked already in 2006.
