PHEV surged 85%.

EV share was 31.1%, with BEVs at 19.3%.

Germany is world's 5th largest auto market.

I am an optimist about the clean energy transition and electrification getting the world to Net Zero from 2050-2070.

Having said that, I know that means significant further warming, more damage, and rising risks of catastrophic events.

That makes me climate worried, at least. #energysky

Wind surged 16% (POTUS falsely told UN that China builds turbines but does not use them).

Nuclear jumped 11%.

Batteries tripled to 14,000 MW since 2022!

They charge during mid-day, when solar generation is at peak and wholesale electricity prices are very low.

They discharge significantly after the sun goes down.

They are already supplying up to 20% of California's electricity from 6pm-10pm. #energysky

I have my doubts. US auto industry is falling behind in the EV transition. EVs will be near 50% of global auto sales by 2030. The peak of oil burning cars was about 7 years ago. Now their decline will quicken.
