Don't worry, I can be angry about lots of things at the same time.
Q: Is pie or cake better?
A: yes
Q: what kind of pie is best?

Q: what about cheesecake?
A: also yes

He flees NY for FL when it gets chilly, so I think that would rule out Russia.

Same, although for me it's pecan pie not pumpkin (on account of the mush factor) and pecan is just nuts, sugar, and butter. But I will contend that some combination of nuts, butter, and sugar is more or less all I need in a dessert.

I was forced to choose Theresa of Lisieux for political reasons (my overbearing grandmother insisted, my parents didn't want to go to war over it) and I've always been pretty bitter about it.

Looking around, I think we're likely the universe's Bakersfield. No one *wants* to go to Bakersfield.

Despite the efforts CNN and others put into working the refs, the GOP's repeated fumbles and poor running game blah blah blah.

I can't believe anyone still watches CNN.

You think controlling the inputs eliminates hallucinations?

I read voraciously as a kid and a librarian at the local library started suggesting books she thought I'd like. This series was one she recommended. I checked them out so often they fell apart. She taped the covers back on and gifted them to me. I still have them.

The worst day of my childhood was when my little brother figured out 2 tootsie rolls or sweetarts for a reeses or snickers wasn't a good trade.

If you get those wee 3 Musketeers mini bars and carefully eat just the chocolate off of all 6 sides, you're left a single bite of whatever that fluffy middle is. That's kind of fun to eat on it's own.

His domestic clients post-Clinton all lost. Almost everyone on his list of foreign clients also lost, and the list is full of despicable candidates who ran dirty campaigns, bought votes, and took illegal donations. His predictions are uniformly wrong. He's also an advisor to Palantir.

Carville's client list is nothing but losers and monsters. I'm not sure who decided he should be the go to for Democratic campaign strategy, but his long record of being shit at it argues we should find someone else. Preferably someone whose last winning campaign was less than 30 years ago.

I kind of assume Trump saw B roll for a story about travel delays that had people wearing sweatpants, got mad, and has been yelling at Duffy about it for weeks. So now Duffy's sole focus is making sure everyone in commercial air terminals Trump will never step foot in are wearing suits and heels.

It's for your safety, but mostly my safety. My boss said one more fuck up and he was going to kill me and I think he mean that literally.

Anyway, get comfy in the formal wear I insisted you fly in and enjoy your wait. And don't worry! We killed the rule would have made the airline compensate you.

I love freeze peas! I'm sad I didn't know to call them that, it's way more fun than icy peas.
November 21, 2025 at 6:02 AM
I nannied for kids whose mom had convinced them frozen peas were candy. Incredible power move to get your charges to think frozen vegetables are a premium reward.

I somehow got signed up as willing to take polls on local issues and have been amused at how useful they are in IDing what our mayor is currently freaking out about or wanting to push based on the frequency of, and slant of the questions in, the polls I'm asked to take.

Them: We'll show her! <Dumps 25,000 emails she's been ignoring for years into her inbox>.

Me: cackling and deeply satisfied watching my message count drop as I search for and delete all emails from retailers/substackers/politicians I never wanted to hear from to begin with

I wonder if Betsy "child labor is a gift our kids can handle” DeVos is angry she's not the one that gets to do it, or if she's too happy to see her years long effort to get kids out of schools and back into the mines entering the home stretch to care.

I'm sure you'll do everything you can to rehabilitate him. Making sure rich white guys aren't held accountable is your thing.
November 20, 2025 at 4:07 PM
Not because his relationship with Epstein included coaching on sexually harassing students or his open and repeated demeaning of women though. Harvard appears to be fine with that.

I watched this 10 million times when I was a kid and I'm always surprised by how many people have never heard of it.

I interned for a local news station and my experience was
Evening anchors: everyone hated them, and they should be nicer to interns who have a friend who works at the hair salon they go to because they overshare
Meteorologists: adorable fascinating weirdos
Everyone else: genuinely lovely

I appreciate that he has rants in his footnotes that are tangential to the extended rant that is is dissent.
