I'm really sorry that happened to you. It should never be used as a pejorative. I used it to describe myself because I want to embrace what I am and what I want to be. If anyone used it to describe someone else in a negative way around me, there would be serious words.

That's how I tend to think of myself, but then I don't mind my hard edges, either. I earned those.

Brick is a term used to describe oneself as feeling all sharp corners/rough, no curves/not soft. It basically means you are not very fem presenting. This can be a signifier of dysphoria, "I'm feeling bricky today" or a sign of pride, "I'm a Brick. Deal with it."
