I found a tiny bit of peace this weekend.

As usual I forgot to take a before picture. But here’s the dresser I painted and refinished this weekend. I would have preferred to skip the paint but only the dresser front was real wood.

Two of these came through the car line at my school today. So I’m not hopeful.

Excellent few days in Hells Canyon. Great views, good food, and excellent company.

I hate seeing before and after photos that show weight loss as if it’s the most important thing. Here’s a before and after that shows weight gain. After 25 years we both have put on a lot of weight. But we’ve gained so much in a life well lived. I’m proud of the people we both have become.

First day on the river. A beautiful day floating through public and private land. Keep our public lands public.

Heading home. Lost Trail was the last resort.

Bluebird day at Discovery. Probably my favorite. It looked like we were on a movie set, with snow covered trees, expansive views, and only a few background actors on the slopes with us.

Day three at Targhee. A little foggy but a lot of fun.

Second stop on our epic ski adventure. Snow King. It’s part of the powder alliance so only two of the kids had to buy lift tickets.

First day skiing with both our boys, and some really good friends. Pebble Creek was stop 1 of 5 resorts.

Almost forgot to post this Christmas sunrise. We went skiing shortly after.

Here are the chairs. I chose an outdoor fabric for easy cleanup. I wish I’d used more padding though.

The last time I had Covid I did this project. A friend gave be the dining room table and chairs but it was beat up. So I refinished it.

My most recent home improvement project. I stained the vanity and did the tile myself. After living with the old hard to clean one, I’m pretty happy with the results.

I’m new here. Really enjoying the pet photos. This was my Gracie. She wasn’t always a good dog but she was a great dog. We miss her.

The main reason I still pay for cable is I can’t remember which streaming service I watched that show on. I’ve discovered a hack.
