I'll never understand how so many people got conned into hating the idea of universal healthcare.
Say you pay 20% more in taxes.
Your employer pays you more because no insurance.
You never see a doctor, lab or out of network specialist bill again.
You have a low copay for drugs.
Isn't that worth it?

As an empty nester with no grandkids we haven’t cut a Christmas tree in 3 years. I picked up an artificial tree at an estate sale last summer and when we took it out of the box we found a few small homemade ornaments still in on the branches. They’ll stay on the 🎄as a tribute to the unknown family.

I think Americans are realizing that democracy is a participation sport, and the the government is ours if we want it to be. I feel like we got complacent and hoped some other third party would do the work for us. Seems like we have to learn that lesson every generation.
