Author, writer, reader, organizer. I like turtles, walks, blueberries, naps, and Doctor Who. I have a blog at kristinking.org.
The key to successful persuasion is to understanding where the person you need to persuade is coming from. What are their values and ethics? Because my friends do have them. I choose friends well. And yet they still allow this to happen.
I have friends from high school who voted trump but are empathetic when it comes to their own families and neighborhoods. They are ostriching right now and I am sad. Because now I understand how ordinary Germans allowed genocide to happen. But I keep trying to get through.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHA SHIT I NORMALLY DON'T MISS ANYTHING WHEN I SKIP THE NATIONAL ANTHEM BUT THIS RULES

MOREOVER, ICE MUST BE DESTROYED
Also note that the Seahawks fans were chanting “FUCK ICE” so loudly during the national anthem that Fox cut the audio feed.
I was going to write a post about how Seahawks Patriots was a battle between good and evil because the Patriots private jet flew people to Guantanamo and then I discovered a COMPLETLEY UNRELATED CASE of a different Patriots jet doing deportation flights to Honduras!

Moreover, ICE must be destroyed

Ever wonder what's on my mind? Now's your chance!
Kristin King writes about the work that sustained her in 2025. "In my understanding of our world, there is an otherworld, a land of dreams, the wellspring of art and music and story and soul. When art occurs, it opens up a portal..."

THIS. I signed up for what was perhaps Ursula K. LeGuin's last workshop, a weeklong at Flight of the Mind. Joy is a good word for the experience.
In adulthood, I get to correspond with so many of the people whose games and books and art I devoured as a kid and young adult, and I gotta say, this is SUCH a joy and somewhere my teenage self just squeals with glee every once in a while. #bestlife

Seattle must be the most awkward city anywhere, with respect for transportation. Doesn't matter if you're driving or taking transit, the route is bound to be an embarrasment. Now that I've said that, though, I recall the magical route to Carkeek Park. Well, the awkward is also beautiful.

I would rather no war, and most definitely, if there happened to be a war, I would rather be somewhere else.
Time to reup the “What if they gave a war and nobody came?" slogan of the 1960’s.
