Not sure how you celebrate a cat's name day but I am thankful for St. Lucia and my little Luci.

In-N-Out is a solid fast-food burger (I find the fries meh), but I am going to let all the relocated Californians in middle TN get their fix before I think about hopping in those lines.

I really like my job and I'm not looking around but my secret dream job is to be a researcher for MacKenzie Scott's Yield Giving.

Had three people ask me for three different recipes in three days. I am always delighted to share. I have no food secrets.

Movie you’ve watched more than six times with a gif. No Stars (Wars nor Trek), LOTR, or Marvel, Disney Animated or Pixar.

I can't take a Carolina loss to Kentucky tonight. I'm even having positive feelings toward Dickie V, who usually annoys me.

The weird thing about having to close a polling place and drive results to HQ is that it takes 90 minutes, minimum, to get home. I had a few people texting me updates, but it's totally a different experience to be disconnected from watching the votes come in.
December 3, 2025 at 2:56 AM
Already have far more voters in early + first hour than early + all day in the primary at my location. We love to see it.

Nashville electeds, what prevents you from sending pizzas tomorrow to your favorite polling places, for example, Pearl-Cohn?

(I am genuinely excited about the turkey salad on croissant I will pack for my lunch but I have a whole team to think about.)
Pizza from the mayor and the state rep has arrived. They got it from the good pizza place, well done.

It's been 4 years since I've sent a Christmas card and the price of stamps has gone up $.20. I swear they started printing forever on them so people are less apt to notice.

We relocated our festivities for a while as Lexi works a shift at the bar. It opened at 6 for anyone needing a drink after dinner.

St. Ignatius taught that ingratitude "is a failure to recognize the good things, the graces, and the gifts received. As such, it is the cause, beginning, and origin of all evils and sins."

I am doing the most important prep before my kids come home for Thanksgiving: getting the sourdough going.

I’m so proud of my people in NC showing that resistance to protect our neighbors can happen on a mass scale in the South.

After a lifetime of searching, I found my personal holy grail of drugstore shampoo / conditioners and then they were discontinued. Why do corporations hate us?

Is it ever appropriate to ask a single parent acquaintance where their kids are spending various holidays? I mean, telling a boomer that my kids are spending Thanksgiving and Christmas with me and have no plans to see their dad DID shut them up but...
