I’m so thankful for every early morning event, every rushed media pre-brief, every stakeholder tour, every fresh air break, every end-of-week ferry ride, and every late night at the Legislature. You effortlessly made people feel appreciated, seen, and welcomed.

Being a political staffer is such a weird and privileged life. You get to see people at their highest highs and lowest lows — in loud moments banging on desks and in quiet moments when the weight of the work sinks in.
