Back when I watched GCW (years ago), the commentary was one of the worst aspects of it, especially considering one of the commentators' approaches was "13 year old who just learned what curse words are."

People have been legitimately saying that, but also WWE realized someone was recording the setup for Survivor Series and started playing various old titantrons and themes to fuck with them. One of them was Ambrose's, and of course the person shared all of them.

You also get way less risks without passion projects and things that are just made because people genuinely want to make them, and that leaves things stale

Honestly it goes beyond just wrestling fans, too many people experience something in a piece of media that is meant to make them feel a negative emotion and automatically assume "well this made me feel bad, so it must be bad writing"
