Apropos of absolutely nothing, I feel like most media/entertainment nowadays lacks a sense of earnestness. I don't know if it's a desire to cater to trends or the algorithm or something, but all I want from a piece of media is to feel like the people behind it genuinely care

Sometimes I'm reminded how many authors looked at stuff like The Eclipse and came to the conclusion that the reason it worked is because a lot of characters died. Like, that's almost correct, but if you don't put in any of the work then it's just gonna completely fall flat.

Look, say whatever you want about the women's Blood and Guts build (I don't think it's been as bad as everyone says it is), but seeing that the Jr tag league was won by the champs, who are of course fucking House of Torture, we haven't even begun to approach bad booking yet
