Thanks to the Quiksave (which I even USE to demonstrate this in that video clip), you can either slowly cheat up a load of Rings, or utterly fuck with other players by killing the same few Muds over and over to just steal all their Rings.

The PS1 version seems to still be running off a bin/cue pair, they can even be loaded in an emulator (complete with replacement music). The DLL seems to be the emulator core itself.
Haven't made the game take any other PS1 bin/cue though.

I am not the person to ask when it comes to input delay unless its REALLY bad.
Like people were bitching about input delay in the Megaman X Legacy Collections when those came out but I don't remember having any problems.
I tend not to notice it if its minor.
