10 years of trifecta control. Increased penalties on everything, particularly trafficking, CSAM, and SOR.
Age of consent in Iowa remains 16 with a Romeo and Juliet for 14 & 15.
Just sayin.
Conservatives being inherently pedophiles is a theory I completely agree with.

I monitored right-wing boards for years, they always talked about lowering (or getting rid of) the age of consent and having sex with children.
really glad that america voted for the epstein party to take control of congress, the white house, and the supreme court

Sometimes I think, “it’s not so bad. I remember the five rings.”
And then the Eldritch Gods say,”how do you think you got them.” [untold horror pays the debt]

…Doesn’t explain the Browns, though.
God this sucks. Not only for tonight, but next season as well. Such an unlucky team.
The 49ers say TE George Kittle officially tore his Achilles.

Here’s a comment for the people who are upset that MN hasn’t charged Jonathan Ross already:

If you just Leeeroy Jenkins this shit you will lose and you will empower fascism and murder.

It is indescribably hard to prosecute cops for murder. It is even hard when the murder is ON VIDEO.

I've watched thousands of videos from the Jan. 6 riot as part of NPR's reporting and archive project on that day.

Here are some of the lesser known videos that have really stuck with me.

Ok, #MathSky, let me rephrase this:
If an adult asked you: Why does 28+36=64, and not some other number, what would you say?
Hey #MathSky,

Asking as the parent of a very curious 6yo who will only watch NumberBlocks.

What's the best response to this question:
"What's 28 +36?"
"64"
"Why?"

I just respond "because math," but I'd like to throw an actual theoretical or philosophical answer at him.

Realized I was muttering “feckless motherfuckers” to myself repeatedly, so better rein that in before school lets out.

Ugh, I had a long running thread on the hellsite taking real images from the Trump Administration and turning them into black and white stills from the film "Dotard."
This would have been chef's kiss. One of the few times I miss old Twitter.
incredible photo that's definitely worth at least 1,000 words from Andrew Harnik of Getty

Data set of one, but my city councilman lost his seat. Totally normal guy, good party backer, did his job--but he was 75. Lost to an under 40 candidate. No money, barely any campaigning.
I think the electorate is done with septuagenarians, competent or not.

So far this year, it was important enough to nuke the filibuster to discourage EVs, to pass rich people's tax cuts, to approve Trump's goons...but not important enough to feed people.

Senate Republicans poke holes in the filibuster despite vowing to protect it
Facing Democratic opposition, the GOP has discarded a series of precedents and weakened minority power in order to vote through Trump's nominees and legislation.

...I'm apparently online enough that when oral arguments mention Ch. 670, I internally went "six seeeeven...ty."
No one in my real life would get that except my seventh grade niece.
This is bad. I deal with §670 at least a couple times a year. I'm going to do this out loud to a boomer.

Watching a bunch of Gen Z creators find out why Millennials are the way they are as a shit job market slowly radicalizes them.
Yeah, you’re just a number to a corporate entity. Even your mentor is t your friend. Corporate jobs are fascism in microcosms.

This reminds me of the Austin Powers joke about how weird, weak, and impotent it was that Random Task throws a shoe. This wasn't even a shoe.
And yet, they felt the need to bring a SWAT team to a sandwich slap-fight.
This represents Displays of Power As Weakness. An over-armed strike force sent to arrest a paralegal who threw a sandwich. Pathetic and deeply insecure.
The White House posted an insane video of the police arresting the sandwich guy in a safe and wealthy neighborhood.
