Yeah, I'm not getting out of this cheaply as I've gotta do basically everything except GPU and storage - but if I can shave £100-200 off the total build that would be lovely

The place I left, let by a literal early-retiree landlord as a side hustle jacked my rent by over £400, had their brother in law install water-soluble decorators caulk in the shower to fix a leak, and refused to add a tiled splashback preferring to get the BIL to repaint it, badly, twice.

I've rented from a prof. landlord (who apparently owns half of Shoreditch) for the last few years and I can't convey how refreshing it has been. Not even a "soulless value-engineered shoebox", it's a warehouse conversion. Things get fixed! There's proactive maintenance! My rent review was only £75!
