Spent yesterday having a “pajama day”. This is a concept from when my son used to stay with my mom and they had a day where they stayed in their pajamas and did little to nothing productive. They read, napped, watched SpongeBob, and generally had a relaxing day.

One of my cats tried to pants me tonight. He wanted my attention as I was getting the boys’ dinner together and jumped up and hooked his claws into my waistband. Then he let gravity do the work. 🙀

First morning where the Kings of Chaos were free: amazement that they get morning snacks along with the other cats (Mondays are Greenie days), then a few lessons about boundaries. Ncuti has now accepted them as denizens of the house; Sigourney’s ordering a trebuchet to remove them.

The Kings of Chaos are officially free of the playpen. During the last hour, they have roamed the land, pondered where the playpen has gone to, and eaten nearly all of their bigger brother’s wet food. Oh, and annoyed their sister. All hail the kings.

This is the weekend we take the Kings of Chaos out of their playpen for good. We’ve been running calming diffusers all week as a way to mellow our diva cat but we’ll see how it all works out. Ncuti’s a capybara in a ninja suit so we’re less worried about him.

I have a day off today so, of course, I’m awake earlier than my alarm. At least I can nap this afternoon if I feel like it.

Doing a bit of a detox re: the phone this weekend. Managed to get out for a bit yesterday & drop all the excess bagged-up candy at a nearby food pantry. The lady who runs it was pleased to see it: candy’s popular & gives folks a little treat. Also went to get cat food & a new plushie for the Kings.
