A post from the NYT account that reads: “A 43-year-old physical therapist was found dead on Wednesday inside a hyperbaric oxygen chamber at his health clinic in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, after the device caught on fire, according to officials.” Linked to the post is the article about this story, with a photo of the victim in his scrubs, posed next to a hyperbaric chamber. The article described in the previous image and alt. text, “Physical Therapist Dies Inside Hyperbaric Chamber After It Catches Fire.” In reply, there is a post from an account called Dr. Kerryane that reads, “43?! The guy in the picture looks 60 or more. Clearly hyperbaric chambers are not a fountain of youth.”

i generally thought this article from ww was interesting, but it does have one of my main problems w reporting of this nature: the claims made by critics of this research are often scientifically inaccurate, & there’s no mention from working scientists as to what the state of the field is
