Teach online safety and regulate platforms.
Regulate corporations, not individuals.
Regulate algorithms and what data they collect. Regulate advertisement. If it's immoral (and heavily regulated in EU at least) to target ads to children on TV, then why did we let online platforms get a pass?

WE NEED Internet where adults are allowed to be adults.
We can NOT have our freedom of speech and expression suppressed so that platforms can keep farming kids for ad revenue.
Neither do I agree on banning minors. Web was a lifeline when I was young and bullied. Teach safety & regulate platforms

I managed to get professions through working until my eye sight deteriorated past acceptable in my field, was depressed for a while, did some online hustles and finally applied to college on a whim. Fully expecting I will again flunk
BUT I AM DOING GREAT, as I have structure BUT also freedom.

As a young adult, I got kicked out of vocational schools not because I was "bad at school" but bc I did everything faster than my classmates BUT was forced to sit in class anyway or risk being penalized for skipping class.
Which, felt humiliating and waste of time so I never lasted past first year.

What I DO NOT want to see is pushing virtual as a way to "cut costs" and leave kids - and adults - worse off, with low quality education.
Doing hybrid / virtual classes in a way that is quality and personalized might indeed mean MORE work hours for the teachers, but this is cost I am willing to pay

Imagine having something sensitive to discuss with your tutor but instead of in person chat, everything you say is now on record and sent to who knows where.

Not forgetting physical safety - I see no reason why we should be separating the two since what happens online can seep into the physical world.
