In today's unanimous opinion, Judge Stacy Wallace ruled that Pottstown's use of administrative warrants to conduct these searches violated Article 1, Section 8 of the Pennsylvania Constitution.

Future searches will require consent or a probable cause warrant.

Previously, Pottstown officials would obtain "administrative" warrants and conduct searches of all rental properties every other year.

Those warrants were not based on any probable cause that a code violation occurred.

She offered the officer footage from her car to prove her innocence, but he refused and gave her a court summons.

This type of abuse will go on as long as the warrantless use of ALPR cameras continues.

When the woman told the officer she didn't know what he was talking about, the officer told her:

"You know we have cameras in that town? You can't get a breath of fresh air in or out of that place without us knowing."

CBP's massive license plate reader program has given the agency to power to surveil millions of innocent Americans and detain people for "suspicious" driving patterns.

That's unconstitutional.
