I will say this - if you don't know how a SaGa game works, you're probably gonna hate this, at least at first. In general you play a tactician's role in selecting battle actions. If you love to min/max micromanage every action, haha you can't. But it keeps battles fresh and exciting.

I have a clear memory of having to turn off the mist background layer in FFII's Mist Cave because the SNES emulator wasn't rendering the transparency properly. Good times.
